Jane Hampton Cook, former White House Deputy Director of Internet News Services for President George W. Bush, is a speaker, author and a White House History Fellow. After the birth of Jane's first child Carolyn sent her friend a brief email inquiring about her sleep and offering words of encouragement. Those words have become a part of her book [chapter five].

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Ms. Cook earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Baylor University in 1992 and a Master of Science degree in higher education
administration with a public relations emphasis from Texas A&M University in 1995. She
and her husband, Dr. John Kim Cook, live in Alexandria, Virginia.
